Love, you mock us for sport. - Chorus from Antigone (Sophocles)

i really don't know enough about the death of jesus (or jesus at all, really) to pass judgement. but i did agree with mitch albom in that the comments hutton gibson made on live radio were pretty disgusting.

anyway, it seems to me like he's attacking both mel and his father. his father for, ya know, being a bastard, and mel for not clarifying his attitude toward jews. it doesn't matter to me, he can think whatever he wants about judaism. but i think mitch is just saying that if mel really isn't anti-semitic that he should be able to refute what his father has been saying.

and maybe he should. i didn't see the movie, but if some people perceive it as being anti-semitic, maybe mel should take responsibility for the controversy he's caused and just tell people what he actually believes. to me it seems like the issue concerns mel gibson more than it concerns jesus.

sorry this took like 2 months lol, i forgot to even check if it was updated. HANSON ALBUM IN 2 DAYS! :D

sometimes the only way is jumping
i just read the article on your pita. very interesting. it's kind of confusing though, because it seems as though the guy doesn't really know who he's attacking. mel? his father? both?

anyway, i really wanted to write about how the media's all up in arms about whether or not the passion of christ is going to spark anti-semitism. i find this sort of interesting. i've seen video's of christ's death at camp both years and neither time have i thought "i hate jews." becoming anti-semitic from viewing the death of christ doesn't make sense for two reasons: 1) jesus was a jew and 2) without his death, how would christianity even exist?

i could go on about this for a while, but i'm exhausted. so i'll simply say this...if jesus could forgive his killers, why shouldn't we?

answer to question #5: that's a good question. the problem is that i have no clue what my answer is lol.. let's see.. right now, i think i would ask you-know-who if he likes me at all. i know that's a stupid answer, but i really can't think of anything better.

sorry this took forever, i'll post a question soon

midterms...dun dun duuuuun...
answer to question #4: well, taking into consideration the fact that i'm taking a break from studying for midterms, the song that PERFECTLY describes how i feel right now is called "my brain" by VA's very own band Paperface:

my brain is all dried up inside of my skull
and this is causing me severe pain to my brain...

so, there you have it. have a wonderful week because i probably won't be back until friday unless i can swim up at some time.

hey there. sorry i haven't posted in a while. anyway..

answer to question #3: i thought and thought about it and realized that i never really decided on a new year's resolution. i guess it should just be to be healthier. and also not a bitch.

let's see.. i saw "something's gotta give" with my mom tonight. it was a complete flop. awful movie. the best part about it was keanu reeves *drools*

question #4: what song(s) perfectly matches/describes the way you're feeling right now?

question #2: If you could date/be with any fictional character, who would it be? They can be from a book, movie, tv show, etc.

answer to question #1: well, i think i'd cast an actress, unless this was during shakespearean times. hehe ;D alrighty, let's see. i like zooey deschanel, so i think i'd cast her. she looks nothing like me, but i don't think there are any actresses that look like me. so yeah, for now i suppose i would cast her. as for what type of movie it would be, definitely a comedy, not one of those deep/intellectual independent films. comedies are just more fun to write and watch.

i'm glad we started this up again too! i'd like to have one of these "if" books you speak of.

question #1: if you could cast an actor now alive to play you in a new film, what kind of film would it be and who would you choose?

okay...so I was feeling quite uninspired so i just took a question from the "If..." book i have. i'm so glad we've got this thing back up and going :) everyone feel free to sign the guestbook.
